Yoga Mat (Ashtanga/Mysore Rug) |
 These elegant and high quality, cotton yoga mats/rugs are tightly
woven and were first used for Yoga practice in Mysore, India
(which is why they are often referred to as Mysore Rugs).
Ideal for Ashtanga, Bikram or any sweaty yoga practice, these
rugs can be used by themselves or in conjunction with a sticky
mat (e.g. our deluxe
yoga mat). This will add extra cushion for sitting postures and
better traction and stability for standing postures by absorbing
perspiration and moisture that would otherwise make your
mat slippery. Traction on
these cotton mats is activated by moisture build up from
sweat or water.
