What is a reconditioned mat?

A reconditioned mat is a used mat that has gone through our reconditioning process. This reconditioning includes re-squaring, repair of cuts and gouges and a complete re-coating of the mat surface. Please note that deep gouges, impressions, and deep wrinkles will leave a permanent impression or scar. Unlike other mats, this mat is reconditioned and re-coated on one side only!

A wrestling mat must have excellent shock absorption, tear resistance, and compression qualities. For this reason, we rely on PVC rubber nitrile foam designed specifically for impact protection. In fact, you'll find this product in football helmets, karate pads, and under artificial turf. Wrestling mats made from Polyethylene foam can't compare to the physical properties of PVC rubber nitrile foam.
