ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) mats are perfect for use in computer rooms, workstations, any area with sensitive electronics or electrical equipment, laboratories or chemical plants with ignition hazard, or any other area where static electric discharge poses a problem.

Please note that anti-static/conductive mats are not used under the equipment, they are used infront of the equipment to dissipate a static charge that may be present on you before you touch the equipment.

Also available is our optional (but highly recommended) 15' grounding cord for optimum results. This grounding cord pain wire connects this ESD mat to a building's electrical ground through a snap placed on the corner of the mat. The grounding cord has a 1 MegOhm resistor in it and a dome cap to prevent tripping. Grounding wire gauge is 115 mil.
